Paddy Wallace puts in a nice hit on Berrick Barnes
Ulsterman Paddy Wallace put in this great hit on Wallaby center Berrick Barnes in the recent test between Ireland and Australia in Melbourne.
While Barnes was a little off balance after the kick and Wallace hit him from the side, the impact was pretty good and it looked great for the fan sitting at home in the comfort and safety of his armchair.
Wallace is listed as weighing roughly ten kilograms less than young Barnes. That fact alone makes the hit good to see as we love seeing the little guy step up and take on the bigger challenge. That said, Barnes only weighs 90kg's so he's no monster himself.
While the game took place a couple of weeks ago, this is one of the clips that we didn't manage to stick up at the time. We have plenty more on the way from games past and present, so stick around here on Rugbydump. good hit by paddy, and it was impresive to see barnsey still keeping his eye on the ball, but a great hit considering he is only around 80 kg

i spose that hit is good compared to the rest of the irish game. berrick barnes weighs about 4 kilos ringing wet im pretty sure the referee could have made that tackle.

I really didn't rate Wallace until the tour. He really impressed me in defence and attack. His defensive work vs Ma'a Nonu was brilliant, he tackled him with ease all match. Good kicker and distributour aswell

Paddy went from being a weakness to an asset over the two weeks. The pass to Kearney in the Oz match that made BOD's try was excellent, as was his defence in both tests.

never rated paddy before this tour. but if you had never watched irish rugby before and were asked which centre was the experienced, former worlds best 13 and which was the inconsitent non-player...
i think if wallace can keep working on his game, with the rise of earls, cave and fitzgerald to come, its looking like bye bye bod at the minute.

BOD looks like hes hammered half the time, he always plays even when he is injured ireland should give him a rest and so should leinster he plays the full 80 mins of all games, and he looks so tired give him a vacation

Ohh and RD it says on the IRB website that Berrick Barnes weighs 87 kg and paddy wallace weighs 86kg

sadly this is the only clip from the game of his excellent defence. was also evident during the abs match. should have won both!
STAND UP...FOR THE ULSTERMEN!

I hope not!
Use the requests section in future mate. You're more likely to get an official answer that way.
