Selection of the best Top 14 tries after round 9

It's been a while since we've brought you the Best Tries of the Top 14. It's back though, and this time we have a selection of the best action up to round 9.

Some of the tries you may have seen before here on RD, others will be new to you though and have all the flair and execution we're used to seeing from this exciting French league.

If you've been following closely, you'll recognise the try that's chosen as number one on this list, that being Montpelliers try against Montabaun from not too long ago.

Fulgence Ouedraogo is the man who collects the scoring flick pass from life long buddy Francois Trinh-Duc for a superb try.

At this point you'll more than likely have your favourites for the Top 14 try of the season so far. We'll keep these clips coming when possible and I'm sure by the end of the season the number one try will be a stand out winner.

  • some amazing hands in there, i just find it funny when the french commentators get excited they seem to stop saying words and then finish with 'c'est magnifique'

  • 1-10 were pretty much some of the best tries ive seen for a long time. easily this weeks selection are the best so far. some absolute beauties. though in no.3 the forward who breaks down the right had a winger on his shoulder he should have offloaded to before hiting the deck, but the try still happens, and its probably better for it. c'est magnifique indeed.

  • less solo runs and more hand skills indeed. what's the deal with Montpellier though? they're on all tries, and more often undergoing than scoring!
Trinh-Duc's play is sweet, so is the quick flick from Beauxis to Gasnier

  • To be honest, this selection of tries (made by the french main rugby chanel) is far not the best, a lot of greatest tries have been scored in Top 14 but I can't understand why those are not choosen. :-/

  • Great hands there.

I think montpellier play a very exciting rugby this season but they won't be in semi-finals

Few other tries from top 14 should have their place in Canal+ selection

  • Loved the handling. Anyone else notice the amount of props involved? Some surprisingly great hands there.

  • I have to go with no. 3, some of the skill in there was outstanding with support runners everywhere giving strike runners options even when under pressure. what is the music on this as well, i've definitely heard it somewhere before.

  • no 10 and 9 were brilliant runs but no 1 & no2 were good handling

  • Nice...ALL OF THEM...were nice.

This has to be my favorite top 10 so far.
