Lote Tuqiri Spear tackle on Richie McCaw

Finally got hold of the spear tackle on Richie McCaw. Insane that Tuqiri wasn't spotted doing it on the field. Also unbelievably that McCaw didn't have any serious injury from it. Then again, he is one of the toughest players out there.

Any New Zealanders out there still think Brian O'Driscoll was whinging?

anyone who thinks that people who get spear tackled are putting it on are just being plain stupid. i got spear tackled when i was 13 and nearly broke my back

A spear tackle is illegal for a reason. It doesn't matter where you're from or who you play for, when someone hits you with one they could potentially paralyse or kill you. If that's not a reason to be agrieved, what is?

Tuquri is overrated. There is no place in rugby for tackles like that. Sure accidents are gonna happen and that should be allowed for but tuqiri did it out of spite. Tuqiri is a brat anyway, i wudnt give him 50$ to be in my team neva mind millions.

One rule for the Kiwis and one rule for the rest of the world. Kiwis spear tackle all the time but can't take it when they're played at their own game. If they don't like it they should have banned Umaga and friend after the BOD tackle.

how can you blame someone for being upset after they get dropped on their head? McCaw wasnt the one who took out BOD so stop having a go at him over it and dont try and tell me NZ was whinging about it didnt you hear McCaw after the game? all he said was that it was a scary moment. He didnt start having a go at tuquiri or anything. BOD made a far bigger deal over his tackle and he didnt even get dropped on his head

bod wasnt the one whingin about it it was eddie o sullivan and the irish press doin all that..bod just kept sayin that it happened so move on and of course he felt hard done by..captain of the lions vs best team in the world at the time and he gets taken out...wouldnt you..

Haha its a laugh when its a Kiwi snapped you all hate the tackle. But when a Kiwi does a high tackle its "legit". This tackle is certainly a penalty, but it did look like he lifted him and lost control.

Guys, one time i got speared and i broke my shoulder (4 weeks stop), but the tackler broke his arm badly... Little revenge. Sorry for my bad english
