Sébastien Chabal hammers Chris Masoe

From this weekends match between France and New Zealand, a massive hit by the big French number eight against leave Chris Masoe a little dazed to say the least. Huge impact on the All Black players head as he hits the ground.

Best thing about this massive hit was that it was 100% legal. Lined him up beautifully and nailed him.

    'kin massive hit though....

Chabal was bareing his teeth at the all blacks during the Haka.... looked like a lion about to kill it's prey.....

  • u could see from the chabal was in the mood the way he licked his lips while the all blacks did the haka like a hungry dog waiting for his food. wot a f**king hit gd night masoe in with the jelly fish

  • BOOM!

if he didnt have the long hair and beard it would not be the same...

just like if schalk didnt have blonde hair flying everywhere - the hits he puts on people, and when he gets hit, would not look as bad

  • Always impressive to see these massive hits on the "We are so tough" All-Blacks. This time is Masoe who gets a proper taste of sheer EUROPEAN POWER!

By the way, keep up the motivational work with the Haka. Certainly got Chabal all worked up for the match! ;)

  • one hit and all of you fuckwits think hes god, all of yous are stoked coz it was an all black on the recieving end for once, not an ab giving it.

  • "one hit and all of you fuckwits think hes god, all of yous are stoked coz it was an all black on the recieving end for once, not an ab giving it."

Yes mate cause it was a BEAST of a hit it nearly knocked him out!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at June 06, 2007 4:02 pm

  • no one should be whining about this video, the all blacks love dishing it out, but they cant handle it when someone hits them back. the haka just spurs the other team on, its pointless.

    excellent hit by chabal

By Anonymous Anonymous, at June 07, 2007 8:08 am

  • never mind about all this Kiwi stuff, Masoe's a Samoan anyway!! and isn't he the Islander that got hit over the head with a handbag by Umaga and started crying? . . . hard as nails im sure

By Anonymous Anonymous, at June 07, 2007 1:15 pm

  • howsey, hes samoan by decent, but kiwi born, so hes kiwi. Whata hit by chabel though, and if i know islanders no doubt chabel will be targeted this weekend.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at June 07, 2007 1:41 pm

  • Oh the haka aint pointless too, good if it spurs the other team on, the abs are basically telling them to bring it on.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at June 07, 2007 1:42 pm

  • Of course the abs can handle, they dont complain about much. They jus do what they are good at. Beating on the teams on the field and on the score board. Woohhooo, one hit by chabel, well done, the bloke should take up wrestling.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at June 07, 2007 1:44 pm

  • To be fair! (im a all black fan) a good hit is a good hit! anyone of us who did it would be proud! I'm sure with Jerry Playing this weekend, there'll be some from the All Blacks!!! Colin Charvis did a good job on the Aussies! who deserved to lose...nevermind!

  • Chabals tackle was amazing. But, can i just say one thing???! after the tackle masoe got back up and carried on playing for his country, and yes, i admit that it took him awhile. when i read the comments before saying stuff like "chabal looked like a lion about to kill his pray..." i laughed. the all blacks went on to win the game by quite afew points, carter got injured and was taken off, masoe took on a beast of a tackle and i think mccaw was injured aswel, BUT WE STILL WON THE FRIGGING GAME! and we didnt play very well! sooo what the fuck happened to chabal "killing his prey"?????? had he been eating too many snails and frogs legs before the game or something??! to be honest...by looking at all these comments i reallly think that chabal is over rated. he made one decent tackle! it doesnt make him a hero!!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at June 15, 2007 11:38 pm

  • ^^ kiwis can't take banter ^^

stop takin yourselves so seriously ey ppl?

By Anonymous Anonymous, at June 16, 2007 7:44 pm

  • btw Masoe is from someplace called Savaii in Samoa . . .

By Anonymous Anonymous, at June 16, 2007 7:45 pm

  • It's nice to see Chabal carrying his awesome club form onto the big stage (and yes I know he couldnt hold onto the ball if it was glued to him)

Oh and 'Elleee xx'...if you don't want people making such inflated comments about Chabal/ and people to actually take you seriously it might help if you didn't add stuff like 'eating frogs legs and snails' to your rant (even if you were trying to be friendly)

Smacks a bit of the Pot calling the Kettle (All) Black...

By Anonymous Anonymous, at June 24, 2007 6:06 pm

  • what are you guys on about chabal is shit

By Anonymous Anonymous, at July 09, 2007 4:04 pm

  • chabal is crap

By Anonymous Anonymous, at July 09, 2007 4:07 pm

  • I don't think chabal is god! i just think he is an awesome player and its videos like these which show my reasons! im not happy an all black player got nailed its just a massive tackle, if it happened to my country player i would still think its an awesome hit!!! (p.s im not french either!)

By Anonymous Anonymous, at July 10, 2007 5:13 pm

  • i would like to see Chabal do that to Sione Lauaki

By Anonymous Anonymous, at July 20, 2007 3:26 am

  • Doubt it!! sione lauaki will throw him away like a snickers wrapper.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at July 20, 2007 3:27 am

  • LoL chabal is so highly entertaining!

    bloody caveman

By Anonymous Anonymous, at August 03, 2007 11:16 pm

  • chabal is an absolute beast. take that chabal.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at August 07, 2007 12:20 am

  • masoe got a hospital pass an U12 grade halfback could have put a hit on him then its nothing special. Why dont we get masoe running at chebal full pace and then see if chebal can do it again

By Anonymous Anonymous, at August 14, 2007 4:08 am

  • These southern hemisphere folks do not like taking banter do they. It's a good tackle, end of story. Don't you understand, it just doesn't matter who it was that got hit, be it Australian, South African or New Zealander, it's all good!!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at August 16, 2007 4:49 pm

  • chabal = overrated french dude has 2 left hands

masoe = legend for getting up and playing after that tackle

all blacks = future world cup winners

    and im not kiwi...
you guys slagging the all blacks off need to get a life.
they're an awesome team, end of story. it was hard for me to admit that but i reckon im the only australian that would.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at August 16, 2007 5:13 pm

  • Awesome hit!

Ok folks tell me one thing - am I dreaming or did Chabal try to give Handbags a kiss on the way up??? Probably said something about the latest Hermes line to him.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at August 16, 2007 7:14 pm

  • Chabal is the best
    allez la France ! !

By Anonymous Anonymous, at August 16, 2007 9:12 pm

  • See the difference here as well? When Chabal sees that Masoe is stumbling all over the shop, he checks his step and hovers around to see if Masoe is alright or not. If it was the other way round and it was an AB that'd sparkoed an opposition player, they'd have just got up and pissed off straight away with no concern whatsoever, ie. Umaga and Mealamu's chicken-shit cheap shot on O'Driscoll. Chabal is a great player and goes up further in my estimation with his response to this; and I really ain't the first to want to sing the praises of the French! AB's and other players who want to go out to deliberately break bones / concuss / whatever - piss off to league and leave our game alone.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at August 17, 2007 6:18 pm

  • lol this one was just amazing (i'd really like watching masoe trying to get up xD). Anyway, even if kiwis have to support All Blacks (i think ^^), they forget so easily that's the French team who came in New Zealand was a 2nd, maybe a 3rd team lol. All the real France players were playing french championship playoffs at this time ;). We'll see if Blacks can handle it in some weeks... I doubt so ^^.

    PS : yes, i'm french ;)

By Anonymous Anonymous, at August 27, 2007 10:29 pm

  • Great shot, but isn't Masoe turned sideways and barely moving forward as he's trying to catch a pass thrown behind him. Chabal makes the most of the situation i.e. someone standing side on looking the other way. And then Masoe lands in a way where his head whips back and hits the dirt hard.
Now if they'd both been at speed and head on, then booooom. Much better, and who knows who would have staggered away then

By Anonymous Anonymous, at August 31, 2007 9:24 am

  • Everyone should just applause because this is sheer entertainment, it is what the audience wants, plus there's nothing illegal about it. Chabal did his job well, and didn't show any disrespect to Masoe by nailing him. He is a rising star and as a Sale Sharks fan i can tell you he is not overrated. To the racist cunt who mentions snails and frog legs just relax mate nobody insulted your country saying this was a great tackle!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at October 14, 2007 3:00 pm

  • if masoe had been at full pace he would have spewed afterwards chabal would have nailed him even harder

By Anonymous Anonymous, at November 20, 2007 8:34 am

By Anonymous Anonymous, at November 22, 2007 12:52 am

By Anonymous Anonymous, at March 18, 2008 10:49 pm

  • perfect timing. But is the caveman gay? he was crawling all over him-poor masoe. not the perfect person to try to pull u?
