Midweek Madness - Danny Cipriani F-Bomb Interview

In his live BBC television interview with Sonja McLaughlan after England's Six Nations victory over Ireland recently, young flyhalf prodigy Danny Cipriani hit the headlines for the wrong reasons.

After kicking seven out of seven on his first start for England, Cippers couldn't help himself and slipped up by stating that “It was the f****** one to eight who deserved the man of the match.”

Immediately afterwards the 20 year old Wasps flyhalf realised his mistake, with his comment about hardly believing he just swore on live tv. He was soon pushed away though and the interview with him was over.

An hour later Danny said: “Can I apologise for swearing on national television? I was too excited after the interview and I am very sorry for using the F-word."

Considering he's not even old enough to drink in some countries, I think we'll forgive him for this one.

how does midweek madness differ from friday funnies?! i hope its a continuing feature!

I just love his expression when he realises what he's said :P

About drinking age, in sweden it's 18 but to buy anything stronger than 3%(?) you'll have to be 20 or 21. But there's always denmark or germany ;)

Just an observation; Its ok for players to drop the 'F' bomb on the field everytime they do something crap. If the refs mike doesn't pick it up then you dont have to be a skilled lip reader. At least three or four times a match - best we ignore those(unless your Brian Moore). Although saying into a BBC camera is much funnier

sry, but just for information, in germany it's 16 when you're allowed to drink beer and whine or just say anything that doesn't contain hard stuff and beeing 18 you can do what ever, to qoute danny, the "f**k" your up to ;)

and - besides - swaering in german tv is allowed all around the clock ^^

Thats the difference between Wilko and Cips. They are both great players - wat ever u say about jonny - but jonny lives on the less reckless side of life.
