Carlos Spencer & Stephen Larkham over the advertising boards

All Black Carlos Spencer and Wallaby Stephen Larkham get to grips with each other and end up over the advertising boards in this Tri Nations game from a few seasons back.

It's not often we see two number 10's going for it. In all honesty, my money would be on Spencer if this one lasted a little longer. Although, Larkham did get a few cheeky shots in there.

Watch how the photographer tries to take evasive action, watches for a bit, then eventually realises he has the best seat in the house to snap away.

  • Stephen Mortlock?

    Ha,

Good video tho, good to see backs ahving a scuffle, even if it was a bit of "handbags"!

By the way, I am the only one who hates Ali Wiliiams?

  • I love that a fight involving only two backline players, away from all the action still managed to get the interest of Ali Williams and Justin Harrison who raced in a had a bit of ruff'n'tumbles with each other.

Danny Grewcock must've been watching from home, wishing he could race in a swing his arms about.

  • "Wanted to take a quick line-out."

... the other player's touching the ball after it's in touch. No quick line-out for you! Any excuse for a fight, apparently :-p

  • Er, yeah, lack of sleep. Spending too much time trawling through rugby videos! Totally worth it though.

I've fixed the title up now, thanks guys.

  • yo fridge! you`re not alone!
ali williams and justin harrison are the two guys I hate the most in whole world of rugby

  • yeah what is it with ali williams ? Why can't he more like Chris Jack ?

Although Williams version of the haka is the funniest thing in the world

  • lekker!! moer mekaar!!!

  • If players thrown into touch would simply release the ball on the whistle, then there wouldn't be a problem. The delaying tactics are what flash these things into something more.

It surprises me that in INTL rugby, the IRB hasn't promoted fast restarts by penalizing delayers... They've mortgaged away the rest of the game in exchange for fast rugby, why not this?

That being said, Carlos shoved him in the back.

No, you're not alone.... ali williams is an idiot, probably talented, ut idiot in the end... just watch his personal version of the haka

  • I didn't see any punches... Where were the 'cheeky shots'?

By Anonymous Anonymous, at January 24, 2008 6:12 pm

  • take ur bets! take ur bets! carlos spencer vs stephen larkham bets right over here!! what will it be?

By Anonymous Anonymous, at January 24, 2008 10:34 pm

  • I don't see why the money would've been on Spencer, he looked sheepish the whole way through, Larkham was the aggressor and was on top of him

By Anonymous Anonymous, at January 24, 2008 11:49 pm

  • spencer's a wanker

By Anonymous Anonymous, at January 25, 2008 12:46 am

  • At 1.27 Larkham 'grinds' his fist into Spencers face. Not a punch really, but could have hurt I guess.

Spencer's apparently from a really tough area in Auckland (can't think of the name offhand). I'd choose him in a streetfight over Larkham any day.

    anyway, funny incident.

  • Spencer shoves him in the back, and Larkham almost gets his face in the advertisments. Why shouldn't he be mad? and Ali Williams....GOD i hate him so much!!The locks I know are pretty intelligent, and usually are team captains...but...I mean....GOD!!HE'S SO STUPID!!!
but whatever...love to see some scuffles now and then...and i love spencer and larkham as number 10s..personally like larkham more though.
    Peace out.
    Go RD!!!!!

  • Cheyanquí out of interest is there a video where you havent actually put in this great reason of why something happens followed by an explaination of what should be done to stop this. fuck man it gets boring! why dont you try and get on the panel and totally rehash the game so its totally free flowing and everyone licks ass! these things happen, teams get one up on each other. there is the ideal world and there is the reality what you see in this video is the reality!

  • whitey, i agree Cheyanquí seems to try and sort out everything, rugby is the closest thing to perfect there is in this world, used to be a little better but still, amazing now

    leave it be man haha

great video just cause as anyone who reads my posts knows, i'm a fan of mid match scuffles haha

  • Point taken... :)

I guess the law background makes me subject to overanalysis...

And as for knucklehead locks, I think it's a 1:1 between NZL-AUS (Ali Williams and Nathan Sharpe).

  • check out the biting of the Aussie's back by the kiwi 14. Blatant and a bit scummy
