Huge Samoan hit against the Bulls

Willie Lafaele gets sent off for this massive high hit against the Bulls in last weeks warm up game in South Africa.

The Bulls won 35-23, but that didn't prevent the Samoans from putting up a good fight and tackling hard all night.

Speaking as a flanker i would be very proud of that tackle......maybe not the yellow card though!

Tackle? What tackle?
Tackles involve these things called 'arms' and wrapping them around the ball carrier.

That was high and a shoulder charge. Hell I'm half surprised he didn't try and throw a swinging forearm in for good measure.

Speaking as an Outside Centre, theres nothing wrong with that hit, if the lil pussy who got hit cant take it, he shouldnt play the sport of men, RUGBY UNION.

There was nothing wrong with that hit, he was hit hit shouder height and yes he didnt use his arms but c'mon, for god's sakes its rugby, if you dont wana get hit like that go put on some pads and a helmet and play grid iron or something.. the ref forgot to take his 'harden up pills' before the game

looks like was starting to go for the wrap but the guy hit the deck so hard he coouldnt get it good hit from another flanker

Speaking as a back, so feel free to disregard this...

I thought that was a pretty terrible tackle - he made no attempt to wrap and was far too high. Look at the recipient's head snap back at impact; that's just not right.

Fair enough, in rugby you probably expect to get a few hits like that, but that doesn't change the fact that it could knock the bloke out, and is potentially dangerous - I think it was right he got a yellow card.
