  • Looks like more evidence that gavin henson is starting to return to his best. superb pick up

  • david doherty try takes it for me!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at January 15, 2008 12:21 pm

  • very nice, however the last one has a forward pass in it... bad linesman...

By Blogger Unknown, at January 15, 2008 12:35 pm

  • I think it's Gavin Henson... in that pickup from midair, didn't he deliberately knock it forwards before catching it?

By Anonymous Anonymous, at January 15, 2008 12:55 pm

  • Rawling, it was Henson, and no, it wasn't a knock on. It's only a knock on if it goes to ground or touches another player before he catches it again.

By Blogger GMC, at January 15, 2008 2:06 pm

  • nice

the Henson play was something else, he should have finished it off and that'd have been a classic

By Blogger Don, at January 15, 2008 2:21 pm

  • More of these please rugbydump, fantastic vid.

  • More evidence that the H Cup has been top quality this year with some great rugby being played. No doubt the best club competition in the world. Really looking forward to this weekend.
    Come on Wasps!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at January 15, 2008 2:41 pm

  • i thought contepomi's pick up an switch pass was amazing

By Anonymous Anonymous, at January 15, 2008 2:43 pm

  • Great vid ! There's been some great rugby played in this years cup too bad its going to be one of the weakest quarter-final line ups ever. No offence to Saracens, London Irish and the like but the seeding system this year was a farce ! Leicster, Leinster and Toulose in one group and Clermont, Wasps and Munster in another ? Ridiculous

By Anonymous Anonymous, at January 15, 2008 3:54 pm

  • All great try's was amazed to see Sackey with the hand off and good pass....personally i have never reaaally rated him. but he is starting to show more potential...didnt see the game so it could have been a one off, would like to think it wasnt though!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at January 15, 2008 5:42 pm

  • watchin the Henson take again and again, and imagining the perfect world, perfect tackle (whilst in the comfort of my home, and not playing that particular game) the opposition wing (11) could have had such a huge hit on henson there had he only had he not gone backwards to take the ball.....but yeh like i said in a perfect world lol!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at January 15, 2008 5:45 pm

  • rugby dump admin it's not that simple, if the rule is like yoo say, you could throw the ball with your hand over a player and catch it without touching the ground or the player...

but this time is not a knock on

By Anonymous Anonymous, at January 15, 2008 5:47 pm

  • "Rawling, it was Henson, and no, it wasn't a knock on. It's only a knock on if it goes to ground or touches another player before he catches it again."

But the rules say knock forwards deliberately, not knock on... hehe.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at January 15, 2008 5:58 pm

  • they are LAWS of the game not rules

By Anonymous Anonymous, at January 15, 2008 6:56 pm

  • Gah, I've read that enough times but not fallen foul of it 'til now :-p

By Anonymous Anonymous, at January 15, 2008 8:22 pm

  • where's footage of edinburgh vs leinster!!!???

By Anonymous Anonymous, at January 15, 2008 8:41 pm

  • Looks like Fitzgerald got lucky that Dusautoir slipped.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at January 15, 2008 10:39 pm

  • great vid . does the H cup use the ELVs ?

By Anonymous Anonymous, at January 15, 2008 11:36 pm

  • Good combi guys. This site is getting better.

By Blogger AK, at January 15, 2008 11:37 pm

  • Shame the Edinburgh Leicester game isn't on here as the second try Edinburgh scored was a peach. Full length of the pitch, with an excellent finish by Ross Ford.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at January 16, 2008 12:21 am

  • No they don't use the ELVs, Super 14 will be first competition to try them out

By Anonymous Anonymous, at January 16, 2008 1:28 am

  • I agree some great rugby on show there.

I do however take offence to guy saying how saracens don't deserve a place in quarter final, making the line-up 'weak'. sarries are 4th in the premiership, having beaten the likes of wasps and leicester etc. We have just gone out and beaten one of france's and europe's premier sides biarritz by more than any other team in the HC's history.

No doubt the seeding was ridiculous and sarries had an easier pool. but its utter bull to say we dont deserve a spot. we have both domestic and european form and we will be a stern challenge to whoever we meet.

    sorry. rant over. great vid!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at January 16, 2008 1:48 am

  • Yeah i agree, poor seedings for the groups but Saracens have done really well and deserve their place in the quarters, i would like to see Glasgow get through but that doesnt look likely.

I have to say i was impressed with how Saracens beat Biarritz, i don't think i've ever cheered on an english side before but i was in that game because i hate Biarritz so much. Terrible side to watch.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at January 16, 2008 1:56 am

  • It's a tough choice between the Leinster try or the Biarritz one. I'm tempted to give it to Leinster for two behind the back passes from two all stars.

Very impressed with Gavin Henson, glad to see him not suffering from too much spray on tan or leg razor burn, or any other silly ailments he conjures up when it comes time to play.

Also, look at how tiny shane williams is in relation to the ball! It's almost as big as he is!

By Blogger Big Ginger, at January 16, 2008 2:28 am

  • The Shane Williams try was a great display of foot and pace by that mezzofanuccio Gavin Henson.

The best overall try was the Luke Fitzgerald try. Two extremely difficult passes by the Leinster #13 and by Contempomi. Also great credit to Contempomi and Fitzy for being in the right place to accept such difficult passes.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at January 18, 2008 2:42 am

  • Gavin Henson looks like a lot less like a douchebag recently, good for him.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at January 21, 2008 12:24 am
