Scott Staniforth winning try - Bledisloe One
This is the match winner against the All Blacks from saturdays Tri Nations and Bledisloe Cup game in Melbourne.
Finished off by sub Scott Staniforth, it was created by big Aussie centre Stirling Mortlock. Mortlock showed us what we've been used to seeing from him in years gone by, with him using his considerable bulk to bust through the midfield, stepping two players and then putting the foot down. The final pass over the top was pinpoint, finding Staniforth to put the Aussies 20-15 in the lead with 8 minutes left.
The score stayed that way and the Wallabies won match one of the Bledisloe Cup, squaring up the Tri Nations with all three sides on equal points.

Scott Staniforth must be our inside centre. Move Matt to the bench as a utility player. He is good at all position but not the best.

That was a great try, but I kept thinking Mortlock was running in slow motion! Effortless from the big man

"how did he get past McCaw?" because he cant tackle maybe?

Matt Gitteau is shit

"McCaw can't tackle" you must be on drugs! he's a machine, and if you watch it again its a preety good step inside that beats McCaw! and no im not a kiwi im English! As for Giteau i think he's more effective at scrum half from what i've seen.

yep he's a machine that constantly lies offside and still gets called the best player in the world. Watch the hand off on him on this site(Y).

mr H or what ever your name is mc caw is by far the best flanker in the world and one of the best iff not the best players in the world im a kiwi and i recon good on australia they performed out of there skin like graham henrey said they wanted it more but i think it will be a much different story next time but well done to the Aussies and full credits just dont get 2 cocky yet i think 15 men on the field may have made a difference bit well see ay

Mccaw is certainly the best flanker in the world! he obviously plays the offside line damn well and gets away with what he can good on him! don't know about best player in the world as it is too hard to call anyone that as all the positions are so diverse!

Great lines of running by mortlock and whata step to the inside to break the line and go pass mc allistar, all credit to the aussies they took it to us and proved they are a very smart team and know how to exploit opposition weaknesses. A good kick up the ass for the all blacks, hope this one kicks em into gear for the rest of the year.

Great game by Mortlock and a fantastic try by the winger ashley-cooper. This result only proved that the ABs are human afterall hence they can be beaten!
As for the abuse on McCaw, his one of the best flankers in the world at the moment, up there with Schalk Burger and others.

McCaw is the best and thats coming from an aussie... Mr H says how he's offside and a cheat but gets away with it...the sign of a true flanke...ps i hate McCaw..too good

Mortlock is amazing. He is the only current Wallaby who would make the All Blacks with the possible exception of lock. Both Cooper and Mortlock made the usually strong tackling kiwis look average with some great running. All this happened when big Hayman was in the bin. If I want to see crap scrums I will watch league.

I love the difference between the Aussie (foxtel) and NZ commentary. In the NZ one the commentator seems to be faking excitement while the AUS commentators go ballistic at the same point. Very funny and a good example of "impartial" commentary. :P
