Try Savers & Rib Breakers 8 - PAIN
Welcome to pain. Rugbydump.com brings you another razor-edged compilation of bruising brutality. Pain is all about the physical and, at times, the emotional.
Rugby is a game with many different aspects to it: passion, pace, flair, fluidity and brute force. TSRB is about brute force. TSRB is about the nasty side of the game we all love. TSRB is about pain.
I personally think this is one of the freshest, most enjoyable in the series so far, and hope the new batch of clips make your bones tingle and get you pumped up for that weekend match against some poor opposition that, for whatever reason, wasn't able to use TSRB as the major psych up that I know so many of you guys do.
Northern Hemisphere enthusiasts will likely find TSRB8 a little more enjoyable, and hopefully will recognize more English, Irish, Scottish and Welsh faces in the clips. The French get a few clips of their own too, just for kicks.*
* see 2:32
Please note: If the video doesn't work in your country, you can view it here (apologies for poor audio)
Pain by Three Days Grace
NOTE: We at Rugbydump don't encourage or advocate dirty play. We do get a big kick out of showing it to you though, so if you're a critic, chill out and enjoy the fact that it's not you getting nailed to the floor.

Nice video
One thing i hate though are those folks with anger management issues/disturbed childhoods who take out their aggression on the field...please.

By Anonymous, at December 07, 2007 9:42 am

By Anonymous, at December 07, 2007 10:27 am

By Anonymous, at December 07, 2007 12:49 pm

By GMC, at December 07, 2007 1:29 pm
1:46 is it portugal? massive tackle oh yeah
- yes it is! david mateus (wing). but that was at sevens
By Anonymous, at December 07, 2007 1:41 pm
1:46 is Portugal: David Mateus, winger from Belenenses (Lisbon) and brother of former Munster center Diogo Mateus (from the same portuguese club), during 2006/2007 IRB Sevens Series.
Great tackle, agains Canada.
By Anonymous, at December 07, 2007 1:44 pm
Did Jerry Flannery headbutt Mils Muliana? looked that way. Can take the man out of Limerick etc., etc.
By Anonymous, at December 07, 2007 1:55 pm

Irrational Stringer Hater...
You're not...
What is missed by Graeme's clip is that Troncon was going for the tackle (a maul by the time the video picks it up), and Stringer grabbed his jersey to prevent him from following play.
Troncon got a red card and 30-day ban for the swat, which was deserved.
However, it just strikes me crazy that the IRB doesn't come down on the people who purposely incite the retaliation. Stringer did it knowing he wanted to get something out of Troncon.
Not saying Stringer should have gotten 30-days. Maybe a match, or a warning (so that it's on his record) by the citing commissioner.
If I was the referee in the match and saw Stringer's move, I would have yellow carded him.
Kind of like in ice hockey where both guilty parties get penalized, but there is latitude for an additional penalty against the more egregious party.

Great video. Possibly the best ever from TSRB. What´s the name of the song?
By Anonymous, at December 07, 2007 4:47 pm
That Flannery guy is a soul rugger. Troncon stamped Stringer, and it was deserved. Best try saver, for me, is the the Ulster guy, against Edinburgh. Portuguese massive tackle. Great kick from the frenchman, and hard punch from Buck Shelford. Concerning that aussie, Duncan something, what a loser... Why didn't he punched Martin Johnson?
By Anonymous, at December 07, 2007 5:05 pm
portugal's takle is absolutely massive, one of the best I've ever seen...
By Anonymous, at December 07, 2007 5:05 pm

By Anonymous, at December 07, 2007 8:10 pm

By Anonymous, at December 08, 2007 2:07 am
Great video, but it is what i have come to expect from rugbydump.com. It was great to see O'Connell raking the frog. Keep up the great work.
By Anonymous, at December 08, 2007 5:31 am
It's actually John Kirwan pushing Ieuan Evans out, not Jeff Wilson. A little before Jeff's time. :)
By GMC, at December 08, 2007 9:27 am
thank you very much for putting some more northern hemisphere stuff in there ! Its really appreciated.
I also hate stringer but its always funny to see him starting fights with monsters like Parisse, White, Kay, Pelous etc....
By Anonymous, at December 08, 2007 2:07 pm
at 3:16...is that irregular playing??...i mean the tackler is practically on the ground.......and he upended him.
great work Graeme.
By
Italian Scrumhalf
By Anonymous, at December 08, 2007 6:22 pm
I think it was more because the player tried to jump over the tackler on the ground.
Great vid!!
By Anonymous, at December 08, 2007 6:55 pm
A good compilation of plays. Curiously many more try savers in this one than in previous ones. Thanks a bunch from the States
By Anonymous, at December 08, 2007 7:03 pm

By Anonymous, at December 09, 2007 3:23 pm
duncan mcrae on ronan o'gara... he should try hitting martin johnson?well, he was actually hitting his opposite number, so it wasn't actually a big tight forward picking on an outside back. I live in Australia, and after this incident there was a lot of talk of the old-school tactic of taking out the touring teams players in the midweek games. Most people here thought it was a disgrace as well. I was impartial.
By Anonymous, at December 10, 2007 2:20 am
"he was actually hitting his opposite number"
NO, ROG was 10 and Duncan was 15. That guy is a maniac, and a L-O-S-E-R.
By Anonymous, at December 10, 2007 3:45 pm
whos gettin nialed at 2:04
and whos tacklin him?
By Anonymous, at December 10, 2007 4:53 pm
Welp,
Duncan essentially ended up getting what he deserved... Took off for Europe.. Got paid some money, sure, but lived the balance of his rugby career in relative obscurity.
At least Ronan has had a shot to lose a test match or five, which no one can say for McRae
By Anonymous, at December 10, 2007 9:27 pm
Oh yeah, almost forgot.. An ex-leaguer... If THAT doesn't scream Yobbo, what does?
By Anonymous, at December 10, 2007 9:29 pm
well it looks like jeff wilson
but then again now that you've said it i can tell who it is lol
By Anonymous, at December 10, 2007 11:07 pm
Come on the Humph!!!
By Anonymous, at December 12, 2007 5:30 pm
That was a lame vid!!
By Anonymous, at December 13, 2007 5:28 pm
Great video. And great to see an old clip of Pontypridd as well, good old Chief smashin Andy Robinson on 0:22. Cheers from Ponty (Wales)
By Anonymous, at December 13, 2007 10:13 pm
Have to say well done to the ulstermen
Great tracking back by trimble
humphreys totally smashed that welshman and did you see Neil ploughing straight through your man
Fair play to flannery following through on that new zealander prick
and to stringer taking down sackey
By Anonymous, at December 14, 2007 6:35 pm
hey, is that Craig Gower at 08 seconds?
By CRANIEL, at December 17, 2007 4:15 am
this is BRUTAL i reapeat BRUTAL!!!!!! but why so many northern hemisphere ones
By Anonymous, at December 27, 2007 10:15 am
its good to see so many Ulster clips, Ulster doesnt get much Recognition which on recent form is justified but in previous seasons they have been really good
By Anonymous, at December 31, 2007 3:16 pm
ULSTERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
ULSTERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
By Anonymous, at January 03, 2008 11:28 pm
1:56 GUY IS KNOCK OUT AMAZING CLIPE 1 OF THE BEST ON WEB
By Anonymous, at January 10, 2008 7:44 am
Awesome, simply awesome. Good to see the Scots getting some hits in. If you're looking a hit, consider Jason White's hit on Jerry Flanery in the 2005 six nations. Car crash impact!!
By Anonymous, at January 13, 2008 10:41 pm
At 0:50... I thought the video ref could only be asked whether a guy was in touch before grounding it?
By Anonymous, at January 15, 2008 12:06 am
Loved watching Mr Sailors bottle crash after he decided to have a go at Hines and Nathan barely felt it! Look on his face is priceless
By Anonymous, at January 16, 2008 1:11 pm
great hit by hump at the end.
Legend
By Anonymous, at January 21, 2008 2:23 pm
why are scrum-halves always such lippy nobs-they are so often instigators of fights by saying some witty comeback, usually leading to someone slyly taking them off the ball
By Anonymous, at January 22, 2008 11:14 pm
I saw someone asking why Duncan McRae didn't punch Martin Johnson, instead of O'Gara...
I assume that's a rethorical question, right? ;-)
By Sander, at January 24, 2008 3:41 pm
great songs and huge hits \
thx go the fucking scots
By Anonymous, at February 01, 2008 10:36 am
In reply to the last comment regarding black 19 etc.
I think he went to try and stop the fight which resulted in the guy he grabbed being mouthy. Or possibly the guy he grabbed thought black 19 was there for a fight therefore he wanted first punch.
By Anonymous, at February 07, 2008 7:54 pm
have you got any footage of the game between wales and new zealand in strady park? 70's i think. loadz of big hits and brilliant running.
By Anonymous, at February 16, 2008 1:46 pm
Did you see that idiot pummeling o gara early in the video. But, I guess he is an aussie.
By Anonymous, at May 20, 2008 6:31 pm
come on ! punching someone in the floor is not rugby ! he has no honor to play rugby
