Vincent Clerc finishes a great Toulouse try
There's certain teams in world rugby you just don't want to kick the ball downfield to. The Crusaders of New Zealand are one, and it's looking more and more like Toulouse of France are another. Handing these teams possession can be suicidal, as Cardiff learnt in the Heineken Cup Quarter Final last weekend.
Dynamic Toulouse winger Maxime Medard returned this long Cardiff kick with interest, setting up a pop pass for Argentinian second rower Patricio Albacete to make a barnstorming run down field before setting up the quick ball for Kelleher and crew to shift it wide with some great quick passing to put supreme finisher Vincent Clerc in for a well made try.
One of the easier finishes for Clerc, this try was made to look so so easy by a quality Toulouse team that will no doubt now be one of the favourites to take the Heineken Cup honours.

Wow... That was awesome team play, and great support/run from Albacete. It good to see the quick hands near the end, and seriously, they did make that look so easy.
Thanks RD

Brilliant play by Medard to make the initial break, make a pop pass, and then show up AGAIN to give the scoring pass to Clerc - hadn't really heard of him before the game but he really impressed me.

Always good to see a second row on the hoof.
Great team try, and continuity.

Sorry i don't mean to be rude but Toulouse have been one of those teams for a very very long time now. They haven't just become a fast off-loading team in the last year or so ! Check out their stuff from 2002 to 2005 to see what i mean

Toulouse has always been playing great entartaining rugby, but I have a feeling Munster wont allow them to do it in this years heineken final...

No try, forward pass, too bad.

playing at home against a welsh team who through a lack of proper seeding got through the group stages doesn't make Toulouse a great team. they unfortunately aren't going to be properly tested until the final when Munster wont give them such easy ball or miss tackles.

i agree that the seeding has been pretty awful but Toulose did have to get out of a pool with Leinster and Leicester in it. Still they aren't as strong as they used to be

i think you'll find it was in fact a try. the only person who can decide that is the ref.

great try! hope to see medard this summer tour with france.
With Clermont, Toulouse play one of the best rugby of top 14. Toulouse-munter should be the crunch!

Forward pass, look at haymens looking at the ref, they all tought it was, but they got away with it,
