Victor Matfield HIGH Hit on Dan Carter

Victor Matfield takes out superstar Dan Carter in this years Tri Nations game. It's a very high hit, that goes totally unnoticed by the referee.

Amazingly, Carter just gets up and acts as if nothing happened.

Maybe Matfield didn't have the steel plate under his arm guard this time..

  • haha "guess he was dying in pain",
doubt it, he's got the tri-nations to console him every year, and over 100 points against the boks to his name, plus he's the best player in the world.

high hits dont deserve any respect

  • good on carter to get up and not do something to comprimise the integrity of the team in this game
i can see fighting if you see undeniable deliberate things done, but he may have just seen it as an accidental high, and being as tough as he is he shook it off well
please somebody explain this "plate" thing to me

  • Victor Matfield put in a similar high hit on Byron Kelleher in 2005 Tri Nations. If i remember correctly Kelleher was knocked out and there were accusations that Matfield had a steel plate in his arm guard.

  • dosnt matter anyway the all blacks won the series for the 3rd..or was it the 4th..ive lost count these days. anyway. no matter wat happens theres always one thing i can be sure of. every team in the world wants dan carter carried off the field. then they have a slightly higher chance of winning the game. i wish every other team had a player of dans quality..then sione lauaki could sort them out too.
