Classic Toulon counter attack and try against Perpignan
While this match took place over a week ago, we felt this try from Toulon's meeting with Perpignan should be shared with rugby fans around the world.
Perpignan snatched victory from Toulon in the 82nd minute with a 40 meter drop goal from scrum half David Mélé, disappointing the home crowd who witnessed their side put on a great performance against one of the most powerful teams in the country.
Just two minutes into the match, Toulon took the lead after an electric counter attack from their own 22. Sinoti Sinoti flew down the wing, gassing one player before sensationally stepping another.
The ball was recycled and it was Sébastien Fauqué who summed up the situation perfectly, putting in a nicely placed cross kick which was gathered by Jocelino Suta to finish off a great Toulon try.
After the drop kick though, it was Perpignan who won the match 32-29.

Lovely clip. Wonder what Rooney will do? Back to NRL? Off to England (he holds a British passport)? Stay in France?
It's going to be interesting to see how the big-spending French clubs do next year once the recession has readlly hit. And what the players do...
Might be the best thing to happen to the AB's in many years.

That Sinoti Sinoti fella has some serious twinkle-toes!!
What nationality is he? And what age?

Hello,
Just a precision. The fly-half putting the kick is not Luke Rooney, but the French Sébastien Fauqué, who was previously in Montauban...
Luke Rooney is not playing as fly-half, but as winger, or recently (it is the case in this game) full back.

It's actually Fauqué who kicks the ball to Suta ;)
That game was awesome, so sad we lost it at the end...
Hope Toulon is gonna win at Castres on friday! :)

Nope, in fact it's the speaker's mistake ;-) Sinoti Sinoti a.k.a Sinoti To'omaga is from New Zealand (ex-Wellington RFC) born in SAMOA, he is a cousin to Jerry Collins.

Ferdiland, I'd say for the simple reason that they're an interesting side who throws loads of money into players from all over, and secondly, because they have a few supporters who make an effort to share/upload their videos. If you'd like more from your fav team, get crackin on the vids mate :)

to people who actually watched the whole game... did you see what they did at the end?? they had plenty of oppotunities to kick the ball out and win the game but they tried to get another try then the ball got turned over to the other team which resulted in a drop goal which lost them the game!! hahahaha that was soooo funnyy... it should be nominated for funniest home videos.

Great stuff .. from the moment the break was made down the left the try seemed inevitable but man did they take the long way round .. and the weird bounce at the end to put in a final twist .. now that's entertainment.
