England fullback Ben Foden answers your questions

It's Saturday and in a few hours time the second round of the Six Nations will get under way with England against Italy, then later on we've got Scotland hosting Wales. During the week we caught up with Ben Foden ahead of round two.

Two weeks ago you were asked on the Rugbydump Facebook Page to pose a few questions to both Foden and Simon Shaw. Last week the Shaw interview was posted, so today we've got the chat with fullback Foden.

Some of your questions were asked, including finding out why he's not on Twitter (turns out he is, with an under-skash), who's the most annoying person in the squad, and which backline he rates best out of the other Six Nations sides.

Keep an eye out for similar interview opportunities and make sure you get yours questions in.

To get the inside scoop on the England squad, as well as fun features, match analysis and up to the minute player interviews with presenters Austin Healey and Abi Griffiths, sign up for alerts and watch O2 Inside Line on RFU TV at O2InsideLine.com

Thanks again to Nick Heath and Lloyd Morgan

  • He came over well in that interview. James will be fuming... I've heard before that he was quite high maintenance; sorry James, lets face it, if you keep on playing like you have been, you can be anything you damn well please. Great work.

  • Foden and Ashton have some great banter. Nice to see professionals still enjoy it. Ashton can't stop taking the piss out of Cueto in interviews... 'his big head makes him fall over all the time', 'he's getting on a bit so he's gotta take his tries when he can' and [referring to his Try Of The Year] 'I was looking for Cueto to pass it but as usual he was nowhere near!'

Brilliant, and a brilliant performance today

  • Haskell always comes across as a bit of a cock to me, (personally), so to be totally honest I'm not surprised if he is a bit annoying.

Foden seems like a top notch guy, nice to see players responding well to interviews. I must say the Easter and Shaw interview was good, and I did appreciate it, however Easter came off as rather beige...Shaw definately seemed like a good laugh.

Im guessing both Shaw and Foden would be a good laugh to have a pint with.

Oh yeh, and what Foden said about Ashton....that guy is a right attitude on legs, I hope Martin Johnson rips him a new one after his dives today... Can't say I blame him, he does seem like a sort of 'my way or the highway' kinda guy, but the day he drops one of those will be a sorry day.

(saying that, Italy weren't a particular threat by the time he scored his second swallow dive try.)

  • What a great vid - thanks RD. so nice to get close to the guys and they really set up the games each week. I've been loving your coverage of the Six Nations this year and the exclusive access makes it all the more interesting.

I'm Irish and if you're getting access to the England boys then keep it up. Nice to know they are human and have time to talk to the real fans.

Foden seems like a top geezer.
