More random tries from 2008

We've got another awesome tries video for you, once again recapping 2008 with some of the best and most memorable five pointers from across the globe.

This time it's something a little different, but we hope you enjoy as the video is done in a very different style to what you'd be used to seeing, but is highly entertaining and shows tries and moments that you may have either missed, or have enjoyed and should enjoy seeing again.

The intro is pretty long, showing some great visuals from around the rugby world before kicking into the tries from the different big tournaments that took place last year.

We hope you like the video and leave a comment if you did. If you didn't like it or have an issue with the music, you're welcome to create something better. We'll gladly share it with the world.

Any thoughts on which was your best try or moment from the clip? From Ben Foden to Ryan Kankowski, there's plenty to choose from.

  • i like heymans or tuitavake, the others were good great teamwork, but heymans and tuitavake were individual tries! i especally liked how tuitavake bounced the tackler!

  • Man what an atmosphere, love the build up. Horstmans try is great, not seen that before, sweet team work and an awesome flick at the end.

  • Anonymous music reviews + RugbyDump don't mix well, watch the rugby you buttfucker.

Back on topic, great video, built up nicely and a few tries that I hadn't seen before.

    Awesome as always from RD.

  • Kankowski's try was pretty special, and Heymans was quality too!!

some nice hits too, haskell hit was good.. also the benson stanley hit was brutal!!

but 2008 is the year of ali williams tongue wagging antics in the haka, and wales fronting up!!

    Great Video!!

  • for a team try: kankowski
loved ben foden's try too, he made a try from a nothing situation...

  • lovely try by tuitavake, just brutal how he slaughters that poor guy :D

for a team try i'd pick nonu, just because of the way the support runners are switiching, to create oppotunities and the perfect timing of each and every pass. it just looked all so flowing, you don't see this very often...

about hte music, well, it was quite fitting to the way the video builds up the action. but if i had to chose from the first viedo and this one, i preferd the first - but it's all a matter of taste, isn't it? :)

  • aww yes Abs7! what a comment ali williams is the actual man for that hilarious tounge wag.

  • I personaly think Tuitavake's try is better than mine!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at January 09, 2009 4:26 pm

  • Definitely Foden's try! This lad is absolutely magical... Hope he's going to have a career as good as Oz Healey's with who he's sometimes compared...

  • its by pendulum its called 'slam' i think....

By Anonymous Anonymous, at January 09, 2009 5:57 pm

  • A good return to form for the site. A shame about all the mediazone stuff. I thought the song worked pretty well actually, and yeah it is Pendulum. It's nice not to have american metal bands on every video.

  • I think Kankowski's was the best team try... Tuitivake/Heymans for the individual one.
On a separate note, Banahan for England's 6 Nations team!

  • Anyone else wonder why Ali Williams looking like a complete Tard is on damn near every rugby coompilation???

Really he is about as scary looking as fat man in a wheelchair.

  • Love the music, placebo are awesome, great aussie beats.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at January 10, 2009 1:25 am

  • Aaargh, I meant pendulum. I almost wrote Prodigy, then went, no of course it's Placebo, but it's Pendulum. Damn P names.

  • Kankowski's try did it for me, Foden's was a great individual effort but he should have passed not kicked to beat the fullback, then again he did score it and i'm being picky... another great upload RD!

  • the last try is absolutely amazing.. very nice kick, and team work..

what's the name of the music?

By Anonymous Anonymous, at January 10, 2009 2:32 pm

  • The song is 'Slam' by Pendulum from the album 'Hold Your Colour', if you liked this song you will probably like the rest of the album.
Awesome video, I think the try I liked the most was the one finished @ ~ 5.14

  • Another great video.
The music worked really well and it's a nice change from the usual rock music.

  • cool vid, loved the change in tempo and the build up. great tries too, what a cute flick in the last try!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at January 10, 2009 5:14 pm

  • great vid again. nice to see one of my favorites Ben Foden again as well as local club worcester fetured in both tries vids!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at January 10, 2009 8:21 pm

  • Foden's try showed great individual skill, but Kankowski finishing off that great team try by the Sharks is just a joy to watch - that echelon of black jerseys in full flight across the field; beautiful rugby.

Talking of Placebo, the song Meds would be an awesome backing track to a tackles vid. Apologies if it's already been done.

  • Foden's vision, speed, and chip were outstanding. Hurricanes try finished by nonu was a great team effort.

Also the Worcester try was really good.
