Best tries of the Top 14 - Round 10
As the weekend of Test matches approaches, we've got some Top 14 tries for you today, with another compilation of the best tries scored around the country in round 10 of France's premier rugby competition.
If you're a RD regular and check every post on the site, you've probably seen some of these tries already. Some are worth re-watching though, and it's always nice to have them compiled like this to reference at any time.
There's a fair amount from the Toulon vs Bourgoin match, with Joe El Abd, Jonny Wilkinson, and captain Joe Van Niekerk all scoring great tries that contributed towards their big win. Sylvain Nicolas also scored a nice try in the match, but that was for Bourgoin.
There was some nice passing to set up both Grant Rees for Montpellier, and Vincent Clerc for Toulouse, but the number one try came from a match that we featured here on RD last week.
Hugo Southwell scored as he got Stade Francais off to a good start against Perpignan. It wasn't enough though, as Jerome Porical produced an excellent solo effort that sealed the win for the Catalan side.

10 - 5 are good but average tries
5 - 1 are lovely

Poor defence :P
But great hands...especially the soft offloading from the ground and the pickups.

jonnys try was easily the best notihng the defence could have done against individual brilliance
no 1 was alot of shocking defence
and tackling

amazing step from jonny. how long did the scrum half want to hold on to it for the first try? im sure the rules say release immediately.
also whos the guy getting a feel of southwells arse as he dives over?

Hows that guy getting pissed about the try at 0:11, so funny.

I agree with Flooz, apart from 2 of the tries:
try 7 is funny and awesome! As a 2nd row myself, Its hard to believe you'd find yourself with space after catching a lineout, let alone having the presence of mind to bolt for the line! Brilliant!
Try 3, bleah... messy ball happens to go to someone's hands, he offloads, through the hands, try. Nothing about that is really impressive to me.
