Get a RD discount and WIN big as Play On the movie launches today

A few months back we announced that Play On, a new rugby movie, was to have an online worldwide screening soon. The good news is that today is the launch day, and you can get 15% off your purchase through Rugbydump. By watching it you'll also be in line to win a trip to New Zealand for the Rugby World Cup next year!

Since we first spoke about it, news of this new rugby movie, Play On, has spread worldwide with publicity events and media interest growing rapidly. Last month there was the official first viewing at the premiere in Galashiels in the Borders region in Scotland, which was attended by the actors, producers, rugby legends, and even a few current professional players.

The reception was great and there are now a few high profile former players backing the film in an effort to help the global rugby community be exposed to it. Today, for the first time, you too can watch it online by heading over to the official site and purchasing it for a more than reasonable fee.

Use the coupon code RUGBYDUMP when purchasing to get a generous 15% off off the screening. If that's not enough to convince you, when doing so you'll be entered into the draw to win a trip to the World Cup in New Zealand in 2011!

In summary, you're getting to watch a new rugby movie online for a discounted fee, as well as giving yourself a chance of being in Auckland for the semi finals of the Rugby World Cup. On top of that, it's simple to watch. All you need is a computer and a flash enabled browser.

You can find all the info you need by visiting the Play On website, or skip straight to the purchase of the screening now, and don't forget to claim your discount with the coupon code!
Purchase and watch Play On now

Everyone who purchases a screening of Play On will be automatically entered to win a free trip for two to New Zealand, including travel provided by The Rugby Travel Company and accommodation, including a ticket to each of the semi-final matches.

  • 1st... to not watch the movie

  • Is it just me or does the trailer really not entice you into paying to view the film. It seems a bit amateurish and I imagine the rugby won't be any better than what was choreographed in Invictus.

  • the actors look like they were pulled out from a commercial for ass disease.

  • Was going to say how lame this looks but the trailer did that for me. Should have got the guy that directed the football scenes in Varsity Blues to do the rugby scenes in this movie.

  • Paid my $6 to watch this movie. Oh dear. Storyline is weak. Actors are unconvincing. Scottish accents are some of the worst I have ever heard. Could only make it half way through. Sorry Play On. Your marketing idea was excellent but the movie let you down badly.

  • Well, I watched and enjoyed it.
I bet that many of the "critical" folks above didn't even watch it.

If you love rugby you must love this one.

  • that looks bloody awful, if the trailer is the best bits and meant to entice you into watching it just think how bad the rest must be. I want to wash my eyes with bleach after seeing that.

  • i actually paid to watch this movie and shut it off after 30 minutes. they should have paid us to watch it. every aspect was just not good

By Anonymous Anonymous, at December 19, 2010 8:57 pm

  • Its strange that they chose neither to use actors nor players for this film...

By Anonymous Anonymous, at December 21, 2010 12:58 pm

  • One of the best Rugby films Ive seen! I think most people commenting here either haven't seen the movie or are taking it too seriously. It is a lighthearted Rugby film made by Rugby players and has an extremely powerful message behind it. If you are a true Rugby fan you should watch this and not listen to the 'key board warriors'!

  • If the game scenes in this movie were truly choreographed by rugby players, then they must have been playing the game two months tops. Utterly dreadful. I've seen pornos with more realistic plots, better acting and better soundtracks. Worst 1hr 40 minutes of my life, and I watched Forever Strong (which sucks, but looks Oscar-worthy alongside this piece of crap). I honestly wanted to get my $7 back afterwards, I desperately wanted to stop watching after 20 minutes in but decided I would keep watching so as to get my money's worth. Truly, truly awful movie, schmaltzy and cheesy in every way, totally unrealistic and stretches the suspension-of-disbelief beyond breaking point. Easily the worst thing related to rugby I've ever experienced, and I've broken bones in matches before.

  • Looks like an abortion

  • This is the greatest story ever told. Watch it first and you will realise how great this movie is. It deserves an Oscar.

  • I watched this.. its truly awful. Waste of money. Poor acting. Poor accents. Poor storyline. Shocking movie, an insult to rugby fans worldwide. Piggybacking on their faith is pathetic.

    Don't bother watching.
