O2 Inside Line - England prepare for Wales

As well as the big Bledisloe Cup game tomorrow between New Zealand and Australia, there's a few other internationals, as Scotland host Ireland, and England play Wales. Here's the latest O2 Inside Line, focussing on the latter.

As you will have noticed, most of the prematch talk has been about England's all black away jersey, which they'll be wearing for the first time tomorrow. For the past few week's opinions have varied, as they did when we posted a sneak peak on here a few days back.

In this week's O2 Inside Line - a feature that was popular during the Six Nations - we get to see Austin Healey and Abi Griffiths in the new tops as they discuss tomorrow's game. It's a first outing for a few players, with Manu Tuilagi in particular falling under the spotlight as he partners up with Riki Flutey in the midfield. Matt Stevens also returns after his lengthy time out.

We're taken behind the scenes with James Haskell as he tries out a few new looks make-up wise, and Austin, Ben Youngs, and Danny Care have a spin-pass competition, with former international Healey faring well.

It's an enjoyable episode for England fans and neutrals alike, and we'll see more over the next few weeks in the lead up to the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand. For now though, what is your prediction for the match, and how important it is in relation to the upcoming World Cup?

To get the inside scoop on the squad, as well as fun features, match analysis and up to the minute player interviews with presenters Austin Healey and Abi Griffiths, sign up for alerts and watch O2 Inside Line on RFU TV at O2InsideLine.com

  • Dont really know how i feel about the game, both teams are strong but not their best (no adam jones, ashton etc)
    England to win by 3

  • Come on O2, step up to the mark and give us a 30 minute magazine show like this! It's brilliant!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at August 05, 2011 8:44 pm

  • Crazy to think Wales will come anywhere near, even with England's experimental side. England by 10 at least.

  • Banahan and cueto on the wings with wilkinson at 10?
Dont expect any tries folks its gonna be a kick fest with comical defensive errors featuring matt banahan.
Welsh backrow will bully the english dogs off the ball.

  • I absolutely love these features. and although they seem to get a lot of hate, Healey and Haskell are top lads. Love the banter.

  • Healey and Haskell are both cocky English morons. At least Haskell will be able to look back on his career and know that he was a quality player. Healey was a joke. A prat of all trades, master of none.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at August 05, 2011 11:44 pm

  • He was a better rugby player than you, keyboard warrior.

By Blogger Rich, at August 06, 2011 1:07 am

  • To be totally honest I am an englishman and I hate healey and haskell, they're both tools and guess what, because they are both loud mouth assholes they become the representation of english rugby because the decent guys are quiet and get on with it.

I mean honestly, look at someone like Johnny Wilkinson, yeh you might hate him but he isnt an arrogant cock. Take Simon Shaw... he just gets on with it, loves the game and plays it, no arguments from him.

But Haskell is just a "im so great, everyone look at me" kind of person!

    siiigh...

Tbh i know there are arrogant cocks in all teams but there are also great guys, take Victor Matfield from the boks, he is a true sporting gentleman after the game, in interviews etc.... not like healey the guy who cant get over himself and haskell the grade A tool!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at August 06, 2011 1:15 am

  • Actually, Just to add, Haskell is the kind of guy that makes me glad I'm not a professional England rugby player, because if I had to be in a training camp with that cock i think id top myself!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at August 06, 2011 1:16 am

  • Hot blondie there!

By Anonymous Juggernauter, at August 06, 2011 1:44 am

  • @ the angry man with the keyboard, people in glass houses and all that.. I understand what you're saying, but he's just being a lad. It's a rugby camp, they're just keeping up the morale and banter. I think Wales might struggle over the next few months, even though the Eng squad is experimental, the threats they have are much more significant than what I last saw from Wales. As far as the backrow bullying the poms off the ball.. really?.. Lets see shall we

  • No, Haskell is hungry for fame and doesnt come across well at all - Healey may be a dickhead but its not an act and he is occasionally funny.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at August 06, 2011 2:39 am

  • Haskells skin tight shirt and popped collar are almost as bad as his personality.....vomit worthy. Captain Douche.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at August 06, 2011 3:45 am

  • HAHA, i wonder if Haskell ever goes on RD, more importantly i wonder if he will ever realise how much he is hated.

This isnt the only comments section where haskell has been slated for basically being a twat.

He might be a lovely guy for real, but his attention and fame craving shit is just makes me want to cringe, and when he was making some comment to shaw in one of the last O2 videos you could see the look on shaws face... it read "Haskell is such a cock!"

By Anonymous Anonymous, at August 06, 2011 3:53 am

  • Lol, nobody likes you Haskell, do us all a favour, take a leaf out of Stevens book and do some coke, except don't come back!!!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at August 06, 2011 3:54 am

  • I can't wait for the RD app to come out, its really going to poke some bum!!!!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at August 06, 2011 3:56 am

  • I don't think we need to take what Haskell says very seriously, but he does need to tone down his attention seeking. It's not the rugby way!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at August 06, 2011 4:00 am

  • I hope they lose every game.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at August 06, 2011 9:53 am

  • There's guys like Haskell in allmost every team at allmost every level. They make the after match ceremonies much more fun. Besides, obviously he does not mind looking like a fool to give everyone else a laugh.

Honestly guys, I don't understand where all the disliking comes from. Sure Haskell is not the most humble guy on camera. Just don't think you can judge anyone because of their appearance on camera.

Hell, if I had to judge everyone based on what they are writing in this comment section....well, you can fill in the rest yourself.

By Anonymous Guy, at August 06, 2011 10:54 am

  • Quade Cooper was terrible today, did he make one tackle?

By Anonymous Anonymous, at August 06, 2011 12:25 pm

  • if everyone was quiet and modest and trod carefully then life would be fucking boring.

Even if Haskell does come on here and sees people slating him, I seriously doubt he'll care because they don't know him, and at the end of the day he's an England rugby player who's won Heineken Cups, Premierships, played in France, about to play in Japan & S15... and get a shitload of money and life experience from it. So I reckon he'll be able to put up with some nobodies with keyboards not liking what they see.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at August 06, 2011 5:56 pm

  • some of you guys obviously got bullied at school by guys like haskell

By Anonymous Anonymous, at August 06, 2011 9:36 pm

  • If NZ don't win the World cup and England do, I will eat my shoes. Seriously.

By Anonymous tomwalters, at August 06, 2011 10:27 pm

  • I've met Haskell in the pub. Top bloke.

At least both he and Healey are funny; I've met plenty of people in amateur teams who are at least as cocky but without the comedy.

Nice prediction by the second person to comment, only one point off. Too close for comfort for my liking.
